DEAL fingerprints a Research Case's current evidence state, detects declared change classes, and can dispatch a bounded re-evaluation into a new immutable Research Case snapshot. The old snapshot remains intact.
Research Case inventory changes, upstream evidence hash/state changes, publication-state changes, domain-registry changes, Watchtower events, or an explicitly configured scheduled refresh.
A trigger is operational state. It is not itself evidence or a finding.
DEAL queues a fresh Research Case snapshot at the current knowledge cutoff, compares it to the previous snapshot, preserves the diff, and—under supervised mode—opens a Review Workflow thread.
No continuous re-evaluation automatically publishes a Research Case snapshot.
Record and notify on material state changes without generating a new case snapshot.
Generate a fresh immutable snapshot and route the resulting change through peer review.
Generate fresh snapshots automatically within explicit interval and daily-run budgets. Publication remains separate.
A research result should not silently become stale simply because the original report was finished. Continuous Research preserves both states: what DEAL concluded from the evidence available then, and what the evidence state looks like now.
